Before you buy a rabbit......

Rabbits can be interesting, rewarding pets, and like any pet, can provide enjoyment and teaching moments for you and your family. They can live up to ten years or more with proper care.
Rabbits are no less work to have, and are no less sensitive and responsive than cats or dogs-- they simply have different needs and different personalities. These differences will fit some people and households better than others.
If you have done your research and have decided that a rabbit is the right pet, and if you are prepared to meet the rabbit's needs for its lifetime, including taking on the responsibility if your children lose interest or grow up and move away, then buying a rabbit (including at Easter time or any other time) is not wrong.
What IS wrong is buying any living thing on impulse, because it is small or cute or cheap or available, without learning about and committing to its proper care and needs, and then treating it as disposable when it turns out to be more work and less fun that you thought, if you thought about it at all.
Easter occurs each spring, the natural time for baby animals to be born. Every Easter, every spring, every year, there will be many cute small young animals offered for sale. Please be responsible and be a good example to your children and/or friends and do not bring home a bunny or a chick or any other animal "just because". If you or your family are not ready for the committment, please instead visit a farm or petting zoo to experience the joy of seeing baby animals.
If you decide that you are ready for a pet rabbit, please choose responsibly from a source which properly cares for their animals, and provides education for those who inquire about them, and which does not sell 3-5 week old babies just because they are cuter and smaller and "sell better"-- infant rabbits need to be with their mothers.
Himadri Hollands is a hobby rabbitry. We are breeding for the love of the Holland Lop breed, and to improve our personal show and brood stock. While we do not breed specifically for selling, we do occasionally offer rabbits for show, pet, or breeding.
Please read our Sales Policy before viewing the list of what is Currently Available.
